Hasini Kanthi
Co-founder & Executive Director
Hasini is our amazing leader, whose vision and passion for making change in the field of oncology have shaped her aspirations for this organization. As a student in high school, she was inspired by how kids could make a difference in a field where they are impacted the most, and pediatric cancer is exactly that. With her efforts and vision for this organization, she hopes to bring a true impact to the pediatric cancer community by channeling this organization's efforts in youth advocacy for youth issues through leadership, policy change, event planning, and efficiency.
Rushil Black
Co-founder & Chief Financial Officer
Rushil puts passion and purpose into every aspect of his life, but most noticeably those with something he deeply cares about. He began Rise for Reason in high school after learning it's possible for teens to actually make a difference; the fight against pediatric cancer is just one example. He's since been dedicated to amplifying the voices of young people, organizing ambitious fundraising events, and uniting people through service. Rise for Reason's vision, according to Rushil, is about making a difference, doing something about it, and showing the world young people can make the world a better place.
